Ring the sluice house, or write, and say how much
There is no basket on this site. A season produces about 310 tonnes and most of it is spoken for by March, so an order is a conversation about how much is left and when it can go out — which is quicker on the telephone than through a form.
Tell us the grade, the weight, and where it is going. We will tell you what is in the mound, what the carriage is, and which week it leaves.
The sluice house

Fleur de sel is not sold by the kilo. It is 1.8 tonnes of a 311 tonne season and it goes in 125 g tubs at £11, up to sixty tubs at a time.
Retail and the gate
The sluice house sells every grade over the counter from 08:00 to 16:00, May to September. Bring a container for coarse and it is £5 / kg. By post, orders under 30 kg go for a flat £9 and leave on Tuesdays and Fridays.
We do not ship bittern outside the country. It is a liquid, it is heavy, and the carriage costs more than the bittern.
Pan walks
Thursdays at 14:00 from May to September, twelve people, £8 a head, about ninety minutes. It is flat ground and there is no shade anywhere on the works, so bring a hat and something on your feet you do not mind getting salt on. Booked on the same number and the same address as an order.
The works is closed to visitors through the October sweep, when the floors are being scraped and the banks re-puddled.
